Q: Why do I have to pay for my cabin separate from my sewing fee?
A: Your cabin fee covers your accommodations on the ship for the duration of the cruise. It will include your room, food, and other great amenities provided by Royal Caribbean. This fee will be paid to our Travel Agent (Gayle Pearl). See the next question for more details about what the sewing fee covers. This fee will be paid to A Scarlet Thread in the form of a physical check.
Q: What do I get for my sewing/class fee?
A: 1 whole day in class with Tula Pink, 1 whole day in class with Sassafras Lane, 1 whole day in class with Judy Fenton of Millcreek Sewing. Plus supplies needed for each of the class projects. You will also have access to two evening trunk shows (one with Tula Pink & one with Sassafras Lane), optional classes, and a Sewing at Sea Store stocked with all of our favorite sewing notions!
Q: When does the sewing fee have to be paid?
A: Once you have paid your deposit ($50) through our website, you have the option to pay the remainder of your sewing fee ($548) in full or in two payments (totals to $568). If you choose to pay in full - $548 is due by July 1st, 2019. If you choose to pay in two payments - $284 is due by July 1st, 2019 and $284 due by November 1st, 2019.
Q: When will all these fun classes & events take place?
A: While we try our best to schedule things around port days, there are so many exciting things on a Royal Caribbean cruise that some events overlap! In general classes will be on sea days, however, the week of March 14th - 21st we have a port heavy itinerary and some classes will have to take place on port days. Please know that you are not required to attend all classes & events, but there will not be any make up sessions, should you choose to do something else!
Q: What if I have to cancel my reservation to do something way less exciting than cruising with Tula Pink & Sassafras Lane? Please note: this only applies to the SEWING FEE.
A: Cancellations received by December 31st, 2019 will receive a full refund minus the $50.00 deposit
Cancellations received January 1st, 2020 - January 31st, 2020 will receive a 50% refund, minus the $50.00 deposit
A cancellation received February 1st, 2020 or after will result in no refund. You may however find a replacement yourself or contact us and see if we have a waiting list.
