I was in McDonough last May on a house hunting trip with my husband. He's been here since January as I stay in Pittsburgh to sell our home. He's the one who told me about AST, and he lovingly found it, and brought me to it. What a guy! Anyway, I was so blown away with your expansive store and the obvious joy filled people I saw there. I am so excited to finally live in a town that has such a wonderful quilt shop. We haven't sold our home here yet, but I have absolute faith that we will soon, and then I'll be a regular and enthusiastic patron of AST. I can't wait! |

The Retreat in July was out of this world fun. Karen, you roll a mean wrap!!! Absolutely cannot wait until October but unfortunately I have to. If I wasn't headed on a cruise in Sept., I would be there with bells on though secretly...the Retreat isn't but a hares breath away from the cruise in my description of relaxation and fun...but don't tell my husband I said that, 'cause he might not take me on one again if you do. Love you all and see you again soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I LOVE your store!! Everyone is so helpful, so kind & pleasant! In a world where customer service seems to have gone out the window, your store is such a nice change of pace! The fabric selection is amazing, and classes are awesome. Thank you for this.
Quilter's Retreat this weekend was such an experience! Between the demos of products and techniques, meeting so many other quilters, and getting so much done on projects, I can't wait for the next one! Karen and her ladies made each and every one of us there feel so welcome. Great weekend! |

The 2 day retreat July 22 & 23 was a BLAST!!!! The food was great - the fellowship was TERRIFIC! Lots of gabbing, lots of sewing...it was a great time. Many thanks to all of the Scarlet Thread staff who helped in making the sew in so much fun. And a special thanks to Karen who served the food and stressed over whether it was good and if there was enough! You did good. Can't wait till October. And for those who missed out...well...there is one added for September and a rumor that there is another in progress for January 2012....sign me up for January Karen, Angela and Mary!!! |

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this store!!! When we found SunCity Peachtree my second thought was ok, now I have to find a good quilt shop. Well lo and behold right next door in the quaint little town of McDonough I discovered "A Scarlet Thread". How great is that! I am absolutely thrilled with the whole place. Owners, employees, products, fabric & customer service, it couldn't get any better. We have lived in several different states in our lifetime and this shop ranks right up at the top with the rest of the good ones. Thank you Scarlet Thread, it's always a treat to walk through your front door. |

I always love a good challenge. One of my best friends Shellie Potter called to tell me she has to learn how to make a quilt, I laugh, because you have to know Shellie. God bless her. I know she can do anything she sets her mind to do.It just doesn't take much to stress her out. So she told her mother in-law that she was going to make a quilt and the challenge is on.I said where? When? How much? A Scarlet Thread!!!! This place is awesome. I got some fabric that had the colors for my daughters wedding. Also picked out some fabric for my other daughter to do a pattern called a Bundle of joy. So as soon as I got home I went to work making a quilt Shellie was picking on me because I couldn't wait till classes to start. Well my first quilt is not perfect, but I'm having so much fun. Everyone was very helpful. Lots of beautiful color, patterns and sewing supplies. Can't wait to take the classes in March. Thanks Shellie and A Scarlet Thread. The Challenge is on for both of us! |

I Love the Scarlet Thread. This is where ALL of my extra money goes. I work full time and its extremely hard to participate in the various classes that you offer. I have been trying to get a time to learn how to use the Handi quilter but nothing seems to work with our schedules. I am hoping that the future will hold some options for us who work full time and have quilting as a second life. : |

All I can say is WOW! From the moment my friend Tammi and I walked in A Scarlet Thread we were hooked! Whatever you need in terms of sewing, quilting and embroidery- they have it! And the staff is SUPERB!! They are all so knowledgeable and helpful. We joined The Silver Thimble Quilt Club because we heard there would be an "expert" there when we would be sewing all day. We didn't have to buy the kit she was demonstrating, we could work on whatever. Well, that expert, Pat, was over the top!! She is so clever! She offers little tips and tricks with everything she does. And that's why we will drive over 6 hours to come back!! |

Ok once again I have to give a shout out to A Scarlet Thread. Especially to Jamie. She was wonderful. I was about a half a yard short of fabric to finish the sashing strips for my sons quilt for a Wedding Gift. I called the store and explained to Jamie the fabric I needed and she helped my husband when he came in to pick it up for me. She also reminded him that I needed a new card as well. Thanks Jamie for your help. Thanks Karen for having such wonderful helpful people working for you. |
