If you are not a member of Silver Thimble Quilt Club at A Scarlet Thread, then you are missing out on a fantastic learning opportunity sprinkled with hugh amounts of laughter. I have never had so much fun in a class before. Put Karen and Pat Wysteacher in the same room and you'll have tears running down your checks from all the laughter. Pat is a fountain of knowledge. Come join us once a month. Don't forget Strip Club too. Almost too much to handle in one day. |

Ok once again I have to give a shout out to A Scarlet Thread. Especially to Jamie. She was wonderful. I was about a half a yard short of fabric to finish the sashing strips for my sons quilt for a Wedding Gift. I called the store and explained to Jamie the fabric I needed and she helped my husband when he came in to pick it up for me. She also reminded him that I needed a new card as well. Thanks Jamie for your help. Thanks Karen for having such wonderful helpful people working for you. |

My friend Inez and I really enjoyed our first visit to you lovely shop today, January 18, 2010. We were awed by the size of your shop and all the beautiful fabrics. I am sure you already know it, but you have a great bunch of ladies working for you. They were extremely friendly and helpful and made shopping that much more enjoyable. I hope to visit again real soon with my daughter, who is also a quilter, in tow. Blessings and Thanks to you and your staff. |

Stopped in June 2009, lovely store. I asked about Babylock sewing feet and was foolish enough to pass them by. Just called and was delighted to know your store still had what I was looking for. Your phone service is as terriffic as you store service. Thank you and am looking forward to getting the pressor feet. |

I wanted to learn to quilt so I prayed for a quilt shop close by. Well God answered my prayers and sent AST within 1 mile of my house. Not only did God answered my prayers for a quilt shop where I could learn to quilt, he sent Christians. Talk about a double bonus. Karen, Ken and the "girls" are fabulous!! |

Thank you for adding those great classes by Debbie Coursey. I took Mariner's Compass and learned much more than I thought I would. She was amazing. She teaches how to make the quilt of course, but that is only the start. Debbie teaches how to make quilting quick and easy. She seems to have a shortcut for everything and makes it simple. I never thought I would like paper piecing, but I did. I have to admit it, I loved it. I learned so many new techniques, that I decided to take her next class, Scrambled Eggs. I took that class inspite of being afraid of not being able to handle making 1 inch squares. Well, I should have known better, I handled nothing small than a 3" x 5" rectangle of fabric. My class gave her 10 stars for her rating. Thank you Debbie. Please plan on me taking her next two courses, Storm at Sea and Blooming 9 Patch, next week. Save me space please. |

I took the Scrambled Eggs quilting class yesterday taught by Debbie and learned great short cuts in making the quilt. I am a beginner quilter and I need all the help and short cuts I can get. Debbie is an excellant teacher and goes that extra step in making sure you understand the instructions. If you haven't taken this class you are really missing out on a fun class and a very nice quilt. I am taking another one of Debbie's classes in November called Blooming Nine Patch which will consist of some more of her short cuts. I can't wait. After class Debbie went beyond the call of duty and picked out fabric for my next quilt in her class. That's the kind of person she is.She is always willing to help. She is very personable and it was such a joy to take one of her classes. Don't be losers -- take some of Debbie's classes!!!
AST has been my home away from home since I discovered them. I have become friends with all the ladies in the shop and we have a ball every time I go in. Just ask Karen!! I have taken classes taught by Mary and took a class with Jamie. We had so much fun. And if it wasn't for Wendy, I don't think I would still be learning to quilt. Keep up the good work, ladies, and I will be back soon.

Got back from the best BFF/Chick Trip ever, and love the purchases we made at your shop. Visited your wonderful shop, along with many others during our journey, and have to let you know that your beautiful store was by far our very favorite! All the way from Siesta Key Beach to our home- there was not one stop that compared to yours. We are trying to figure out how to make this an annual visit. Maybe you can help with overnight lodging?...lol...Your deals were great, your selection was great, it was classy beyond compare, yet very homey- you and your staff were the BEST! You are truly "one of a kind." Hoping to see you soon. Blessings to you and your wonderful family, and staff. Thanks for the memories!

I'm ADDICTED to your store. A friend introduced me to AST almost 2 years ago, BEFORE I learned to sew! I've had a sewing machine since May '09 and don't have enough time for all the projects I want to do because of the AWESOME fabrics you carry. I just wanted to say that ever since I stepped foot in AST back in September of 2008 I have thoroughly enjoyed it. That is now my favorite quilt store. I have Joann's, Hancocks, Walmart, Red Hen Fabrics, Tiny Stitches and Little Quilts all within a 10 mile radius of me, I spend more time at AST because of the first time I walked in. That day everyone was so friendly and eager to help and everytime since then they have called me by first name. My first class was the Sew a thon in November and boy am I READY for another day of just sewing and socializing. That was the best 6 hours I had. The Strip Clubs now that's another fun group. Who would have thought that a bunch of women would be so much fun at 8:30 in the morning. I look forward to that every month. Karen is always so energentic and chipper and Wee Wee and all the ladies are all eager and chipper to help. Then there's Ken he is just as much fun as the ladies. He fits in well. Thanks for having such a fun shop. Everytime I talk about quilting I always talk about AST. Again thanks. |

I bought my serger from you a year ago and have used in very little. I would love to learn ways to be more productive with it. I did not see a serger class listed and was wondering if you were going to offer one this summer. I hope you will because that will give the "Twisted Sisters" yet another reason to visit your wonderful shop.
P.S. Karen we enjoyed having you visit our guild meeting. Cotton Boll Quilt Guild Everyone from the shop is welcome to visit anytime. And I don't think anyone would object to you bringing along some of you fantastic quilter's candy either. : > [aka fabric, fabric, fabric] |

Well I guess everyone gets tired of reading my posts. Its only because I love AST, Karen and the girls. I love to share my experiences up there. First of all I try to take every class they have when I can. I absolutely love learning something new. The other reason I love AST sew much is that you really feel a special "vibe" there that I cannot describe. Recently when I went there, I pulled Karen off to the side in the store kitchen and asked her if she would pray for me. I thought it would be just the two of us in the kitchen but she flew out into the store like a bird, yelled for WeeWee and all the "girls"! She started clapping her hands and yelling to round them up. They grabbed me customers watching and every employee in that store laid their hands on me, and all started praying aloud for me. It brought me to tears and made me feel so loved and special. I don't go to AST to spend money I would never do that!!! :-~ I go to FEEL THE LOVE and get another dose of the girls' special "vibe". Thank you Karen, WeeWee, Mary, Laurie and everyone. My prayers that day were answered. I love you all. I am coming to my first strip club class in July. Please dont dont do anything with triangles...lol |

Hi Guys,
I love this store. I could spend hours wandering unanimously around looking at all the cloth and patterns that are available. I like how you have samples of most of your patterns.
